WACO System in digitalisation drive

May 14,2021 by JC LOGISTICS

WACO System, the independent global freight management and logistics organisation, has appointed Texas-headquartered global logistics 'Software as a Service' company, Slync.io, as an Associate Vendor Member.

“The Logistics Orchestration® platform by Slync.io provides WACO members with the option to access an automated processes system that can identify and resolve exceptions through a simple interface that adapts to member needs, regardless of their current digital capabilities,” it said in a statement.

WACO member organisations that engage with Slync.io will be able to standardise complex, multi-party processes and easily integrate structured and unstructured data.

“Slync.io offers our community of independent freight management companies a cost-effective, scalable solution for their data management needs,” said WACO's CEO, Richard Charles.

“The last 12 months have highlighted the need for our industry to digitalise and Slync.io offers solutions with easy adoption for our members to be at the forefront of the digital revolution.”

Slync.io enables previously unrelated systems to work together using a common set of data, paving the way for streamlined process management, improved transparency, and greater collaboration in logistics operations.

“Slync.io is excited to serve the global members of The WACO System,” said  Slync.io's executive vice-president and chief revenue officer, Paul Pessutti.

“Tapping into WACO’s exclusive logistics network will enable us to expand the reach of our Logistics Orchestration® platform, helping top freight managers across all modes and geographies simplify their operations through better connected people, systems, and data - it's a win-win.”

WACO Associate Vendor Membership is open to suppliers providing critical value-added services to the Association’s members, giving them access to bespoke agreements and preferential treatment.

WACO has a community of 120 members in 116 countries with a combined network of more than 400 locations, employing over 21,000 freight professionals who handle over 1.85 million shipments each year including one million tons of airfreight.

The exclusive network has a combined annual turnover of US$ 4 billion.

WACO has been growing its global footprint, with the recent addition of Gollcher Group as the member for Malta, and AAA-A2 Cargo as the member for Russia.

The company is an association owned by its members with its corporate head office in Zurich and operational management in London.
