Export Demand is Weak on Some Lanes

  1. Europe and Mediterraneans: surplus of transportation capacity. It's estimated that the increase on rates by USD200/TEU will be postponed to the next month.
  2. North America: export demand is going down.
  3. Near-sea shipping line: PSS for Korea line has been increased by USD30/TEU. But the rates for other lines remain the same as in last week.
  4. YANGMING will adjust BAF in this May. BAF for UK, Northwest continent, Baltic Sea and Scandinavian area will be adjusted to USD517/20', USD1034/40'&40'HQ. For Mediterraneans Sea, Portugal, Spain and northern France, BAF will be adjusted to USD509/20', USD1018/40'&40'HQ.
  5. BAF for Mediterraneans Sea and Western coast of Europe in May will be adjusted to USD509/TEU.
